as well as methods for applying its capabilities to the plant
and process drawing workflow.
Essential MicroStation
Course length: 4 days
This course is designed for the new MicroStation user and builds
a solid foundation in the concepts, tools and features found
in the MicroStation drawing environment. In this hands-on course,
you are already using MicroStation by page four of the course
guide. Starting with setting up a drawing and concluding with
plotting, you walk through a typical workflow using the tools
and features of the latest version of MicroStation. Interspersed
throughout are real-world design problems solved using the concepts
learned to that point in the course. Various engineering disciplines
are represented in the form of hands-on exercises. The fee for
this class includes workbook and lunch for four days.
Moving to MicroStation
Course length: 3 days
This course is designed for experienced CAD user who wants to
transition existing CAD knowledge to MicroStation skills. To
ease the transition to MicroStation, parallel references are
continually given, showing how MicroStation handles operations
familiar to the CAD user. Subjects covered range from the initial
setup of a new design file to incorporating existing data from
non-MicroStation CAD products. Plotting and other output considerations
are covered, including pen table development and usage. The
fee for this class includes workbook and lunch for three days.
Productive MicroStation
Course length: 3 days
This course is intended for the experienced MicroStation user
and focuses on the features of MicroStation designed to improve
user productivity. Providing lecture, demonstration and hands-on
exercises, Productive MicroStation begins with a thorough examination
of AccuDraw and ends with an introduction to importing and exporting
CAD data from/to other CAD programs. The fee for this class
includes workbook and lunch for three days.
MicroStation V8 Update for users
Course length: 2 day
This course covers all of the new features and capabilities
of MicroStation V8 with an emphasis on productivity gains. All
of the major new capabilities of version 8 are covered in a
series of hands-on exercises. The fee for this class includes
a workbook and lunch.
Everything 3D
Course length: 3 days
For experienced users, this course explores Microstation's
3D capability in detail. Covers most concepts and tools used
in MicroStation's 3D environment including 3D primitives,
surfaces, and 3D view control is covered in detail. Includes
discussions on Drawing Composition and an introduction to
MicroStation rendering including lighting effects, camera
setup and applying materials. This is a certified MicroStation
Institute class. The fee for this class includes workbook
and lunch.
Introduction to Microstation 2D
Course length: 1 day
This one day course gives the new MicroStation/J user an introduction
to the basic creation, manipulation and modification tools.
In addition, the topics of cells, levels, references and plotting
are covered.
Introduction to Microstation 3D
Course length: 1 day
This one day course gives users a general overview of the 3D
tool sets of MicroStation. The user first masters view control
and is then introduced to AccuDraw in 3D. The Solid and Surface
tool sets are introduced and composing plots is covered
Mastering Accudraw
Course length: 1 day
This course explores the capabilities of AccuDraw, with the
emphasis on productivity and problem-solving. Introduced with
MicroStation 95, AccuDraw provides a powerful new way of designing
with MicroStation. The course also incorporates AccuDraw's 2D
and 3D capabilities and is an excellent introduction to MicroStation's
3D environment.
Inroads
This beginner-level course introduces civil engineering designers
to using InRoads software for road and/or site design projects.
This hands-on training walks you through the complete project
design cycle, from creating the original ground DTM to the final
plan and profile sheets. This class also covers the InRoads
coordinate geometry tools and an introduction to several simple
site design surface modeling techniques
Inroads:
Storm and Sanitary
Course length: 3 days
This beginner-level course introduces you to the InRoads Storm
and Sanitary software, teaching the basic steps in using InRoads
Storm and Sanitary on storm water or sanitary sewer design projects.
Hands-on exercise guides you through defining drainage areas,
structure layout and network analysis. You will also learn how
to evaluate a network using profiles and reports, as well as
how to make modifications to the design. |
